The first session of the Preparatory Committee for the 2026 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) will meet from 31 July–11 August 2023 at the UN in Vienna International Centre in Vienna, Austria.
Youth Fusion joined Abolition 2000’s Delegation to bring young people to the table.

- Vanda Proskova attended and spoke in the Working Group on further strengthening the review process of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). The Meeting took place in the M-Plenary Conference Room (M-Building, first floor) at the Vienna International Centre from 25 Jul 2023, 10:00 (Europe/Vienna) to 25 Jul 2023, 12:00 (Europe/Vienna). The Meeting was live-streamed via UNTV.

- 11:00am – 12:30CET: Mayors for Peace Youth Forum. Youth Fusion had represented by Vanda Proskova.

- Youth Fusion, represented by Vanda Proskova, delivered one of the 16 NGO statements to the NPT PrepCom Plenary. Notably, out of the 16 NGO presentations, 3 were delivered by Youth Fusion members. Recording of the session in full is available on the UN Web TV.

- 10:15-11:15am CET: Climate Nuclear Nexus: Session 1: Moving the Nuclear Weapons Money to climate protection and SDGs. Organized by Parliamentarians for Nuclear Non-proliferation and Disarmament (PNND). Cosponsors: Basel Peace Office, Global Security Institute, Move the Nuclear Weapons Money, World Federalist Movement, World Future Council and Youth Fusion. Vanda Proskova was a speaker.
3:15-5:45pm CET: Youth Fusion’s NPT PrepCom Side Event || Nuclear Stories: Storytelling in action. The event took place in person only in Conference Room M4, Vienna International Centre (VIC). The event was chaired by Michaela Higgins Sørensen.

- 10:30-12pm CET: General Comment 36: Advancing nuclear abolition and climate protection in the UN Human Rights bodies. Organized by Aotearoa Lawyers for Peace. Cosponsors: Basel Peace Office, World Future Council and Youth Fusion. Michaela Higgins Sørensen spoke.
