On August 6 and 9, we pause with heavy hearts and clear purpose. These are not just dates in history, they are living reminders of humanity’s deepest wound, and our shared responsibility to ensure it never happens again.

Eighty years may soon pass since the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but for those of us in the Youth Fusion community and for young people across the globe these events are not confined to the past. They live in the stories of the Hibakusha, in the silence that follows remembrance, and in the urgency we feel to act.

As youth, we carry no memory of those days ourselves but we inherit their meaning. And with that inheritance comes a duty: to carry forward the truth, the lessons, and the unwavering commitment to a nuclear-free world.

This year, the Youth Fusion team has come together in a powerful video, each of us sharing one principle, one message, or one hope that we believe must be carried into the future. Because remembrance is not passive—it’s a call to action.

We remember the lives lost. We honor the courage of survivors.
We confront the injustice that nuclear weapons continue to represent.
We challenge the narrative that these weapons protect us.
And we reaffirm this truth: Our future must be one of peace, justice, and collective security—not fear, destruction, and division.

Our generation was not responsible for Hiroshima or Nagasaki. But we are responsible for what comes next.

We invite you to watch our video and reflect with us. Share it. Talk about it. Let it stir something in you. And if it does join us.

Because remembrance without action fades.
But remembrance with action transforms.

Never again is now.
