We at Youth Fusion strongly condemn Russia’s military attack on Ukraine. Further, in light of the recent test-launch of a nuclear capable hyper-sonic missile by Russia, we feel the need to, yet again, highlight that “a nuclear war cannot be won and must never be fought” – a statement made by Presidents Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev already in 1985 and reaffirmed by the five nuclear-weapons states – including Russia – in a joint statement on January 03 2022. Finally, we are calling on all world leaders to respect international law and to take a human-centered approach throughout this crisis. The security and safety of all individuals must come first.
